At a far I seen her walking down from the building she worked at in downtown. Coming to meet me on her lunch break. Immediately I noticed her well put together outfit. All black blazer matching the somewhat loose dress pants she was wearing. Walking under her pink umbrella complementing her ravishing black skin. It was raining 2 days straight nonstop. I didn’t mind it though. The breeze was welcoming for a summer day that didn’t feel like summer at all.
I seen her looking for me once she arrived. I saw her but she didn’t see me. I stayed put with the glass of wine I ordered waiting for her arrival. She then saw me sitting at the far right corner. I got up to greet her then proceeded to give her a gentle hug. We sat down across from each other exchanging eye contact. My eyes admired the light glam she had persciously placed on her exquisite brown face. Also complimenting her beautiful black skin. She immediately complemented my scent. Which was a silent victory. Only because I nearing the choice chose of 600 black instead of the cologne I was currently wearing..

I then noticed the Prada logo on bottom of the heals she was wearing ,complementing the business professional look she had.
She asked me how long I was in town for. I gazed at her lipstick print on the rim of her wine glass before giving her an answer. I listened closely to the Frank Sinatra lyrics playing in the background. It was a perfect marriage with the sound of the soothing rain in the middle of July.
I leave tomorrow night I replied, then sipped out of my own glass of wine. I ordered the house Red. I can tell by her body language, she wished that I could stay longer. “Do you have a girlfriend out west?” I nod my head no. It was hard for her to believe I wasn’t sharing myself with other women. I was still letting go of the last connection. A connection so strong but pained so vicious.. A kind of love I would wish for no man
